Landscape
The Grand Scale
The Curation
A study of the earth’s most resilient environments and captivating light. This collection celebrates expansive vistas and enduring natural structures—from the golden horizons of the Pacific and the weather-beaten dunes of Lake Michigan to the rugged ridges and tranquil waters of New York. Each photograph captures the transition from the chaotic energy of the RAW capture to the intentional stillness of the final print.
The Mission
To find sanctuary within the scenery. Whether documenting karst limestone bluffs, coastal shorelines, or local mountain ridges, these prints are designed to bring a sense of grounded, natural permanence and open space into your living area.
Fine Art Quality
I personally print every piece in my studio using the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 on archival stocks chosen to highlight the mood and scale of open scenery:
- Standard Matte (Polar Matte 230): My primary paper choice for landscapes. Its smooth, glare-free surface reveals fine structural details and subtle tonal transitions across skies and terrain without reflection under room light.
- Vibrant Metallic (Polar Luster Metallic 255): A favorite for coastal waters, ice, and dramatic sunsets—lending a striking three-dimensional depth and making golden highlights glow.
- Artisan Textured (Palo Duro Etching 315): Available on select pieces (such as historic architectural landscapes like Big Sable Point)—adding a rich, painterly tactile quality to stone, sand dunes, and weathered structures.
